If you're after something fresh, colourful and a little different, Base Falmouth should be high on your list. It's become a favourite amongst locals for its speciality matcha drinks, smoothie bowls and vibrant brunch menu, making it the perfect stop if you're looking for a lighter start to the day.
Their açai bowls have developed something of a following, packed with fresh fruit and toppings that are almost too good to eat. Pair one with one of their expertly made matchas and it's easy to see why Base has become such a popular addition to Falmouth's café scene.

Best for fresh pastries.
Ask a local where to find one of the best pastries in town and there's a good chance Stones Bakery will be mentioned.
Fresh bread, artisan pastries and excellent coffee have earned it something of a cult following. If we had to recommend just one thing, it would be the jam doughnuts. They don't stay on the shelves for long, and after trying one, you'll understand why.

Best for a laid-back vibe.
True to its name, Good Vibes Café has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back. Overlooking The Moor in the heart of Falmouth, it's perfectly placed for a break while exploring the town, whether you've been browsing the independent shops or are simply looking to recharge with a coffee and homemade cake.
It has a friendly, independent feel that makes it easy to settle in for a while, and it's one of those places that quickly becomes a favourite after just one visit.
Top Tip: If you're on The Moor, it's the perfect place to pause for a coffee before carrying on your wander through town.
Best for sea views.
If you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a coffee with a sea view, Castle Beach Café is one of our favourite spots in Falmouth. Sitting right beside Castle Beach, it's the perfect place to stop before a walk around Pendennis Point or after a few hours on the beach.
Unlike many cafés, all of the seating is outdoors, so it's one to save for a sunny day. The relaxed setting, dog-friendly atmosphere and uninterrupted views across Falmouth Bay make it well worth a visit, whether you're calling in for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and cake.
Top Tip: Castle Beach Café is best enjoyed as part of a relaxed stop by the sea, especially on a dry day when you can make the most of the outdoor seating.

If you're exploring Falmouth with your four-legged friend, Gylly Beach Café is a brilliant place to stop. Sitting right on Gyllyngvase Beach, it's a relaxed spot where dogs are welcome and there's plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the views across Falmouth Bay.
